Deep purple with ruby tints and signs of maturity at rim. Fine, mature nose with notes of ripe black fruits (cherry) and a hint of liquorice. Opulent palate with a balanced, fruity structure.
Terroir:
Calcareous clay slopes and villafranchian terraces in the municipality of Montagnac. A special feature of this terroir is the lake-deposited molasse and sandstone with loose sand in some places.
Vineyard management:
Pruning by Cordon de Royat method, vine parcels over 8 years old, mechanical harvesting.
Selection:
Parcels are monitored throughout the year. Grapes tested for maturity and taste; these factors decide the start of harvesting.
